Robert "Bob" Scanlan

Bob retired from Morgan Stanley in mid-2001 where he was a Managing Director. His last responsibility was that of Vice Chairman and COO of the International Private Client Group, Japan. Prior to the International Private Client Group he had been President, Director and COO of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Advisors, an investment advisor/manager for approximately $120 billion of assets. He had also been Executive Vice President and COO of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Trust Co., FSB.
Preceding his twelve years at Morgan Stanley and Dean Witter, Bob was the Chairman of The Harborview Group, a small privately held company that focused on developing systems and providing services to the financial sector.
Previous to The Harborview Group Bob spent 12 years as one of seven senior executives at Keystone Custodian Funds, Inc., a Boston based mutual fund organization.
Bob began his career at The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where he became an Assistant Vice President responsible for computer operations and systems development. He was one of six members of the Senior Planning Committee and one of a five person National Task Force responsible for designing and implementing nationwide computerized communications network for the Federal Reserve System.
Bob has a B.A. in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from Boston College and thirty postgraduate credits in Economics from B.C. He is also a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking at Rutgers and the Greater Boston Executive Program at the Sloan School - M.I.T.
